  • Harvest Gifts

    Thu 08 Nov 2018

We have been busy collecting food to send to our local foodbank inspired by our focus on Harvest, led by Rev. Dan and Rev. Sharon. Last year over 1700 people accessed out local foodbank and 600 of these were children. The Senior Pupils delivered the food and were given a tour of the Foodbank showing the children the food store and explaining how families can access the gifts. The Churchfield collection was the largest sent in from any school in the area and was gratefully received. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.

  • RNLI visit Churchfield

    Tue 12 Jun 2018

Thank you to Jason form the RNLI station in Burnham on Sea and the lifeguards who came into school on Friday 22nd June to talk to the whole school about how to keep safe on the beach this summer.

We learnt about Slip, Slap, Slosh and how to attract a lifeguard's attention if you need help! Mr. Philcox who had been out on his bodyboard was rescued by Chanelle, the junior Lifeguard and brought back safely to the beach!

Don't forget to see our display at the front of the school to remind ourselves on the importance of keeping ourselves safe on the beach!

  • Thinking Day – Thursday 22nd February 2018

    Thu 01 Feb 2018
Each year Girl Guide and Scouting members all celebrate Thinking Day on the 22nd February.
This was the day our Founder, Lord Baden Powell and his wife Lady Olave Baden Powell, were born. This gave us a day shared internationally by everyone involved to think about ourselves
as part of world-wide organisation. As such, we invite all children who are Girl Guiding and Scouting members to wear their smart uniform and normal school shoes to school. Children who are members of these groups will also be advised by their group leaders.

  • Mathematical Morning

    Thu 01 Feb 2018
Four eager mathematicians, accompanied by Mrs Clements and Mr Philcox, went to Kingshill Church Primary School for a morning of mathematical activities with the other 7 schools in the BWMAT North Hub. The children spent their time on a carousel of activities, each one helping them to develop a key mathematical skill. After all of the missions were successfully completed, they all worked together to crack the code of the safe to reveal prizes for everyone! A solar powered
calculator and mathematical pencil were gratefully received!
