VISITING OR JOINING OUR SCHOOL
A member of the office staff ensures that the internal school gates are kept locked during the school day, so all visitors are asked to report to the main entrance. The main vehicle ‘in’ gate will be locked during the school day and all vehicles should access the school grounds through the ‘out’ gate adjacent to the school office.
Please be mindful that for everybody’s safety, identification procedures will be carried out. Visitors to the school will need to sign in and wear an identification badge during their time in the building. All supply teachers and contractors working on site must provide photo ID and DBS clearance. Visitors will be escorted around the site.
All members of staff are vetted against national safeguarding procedures before being allowed to work in school. At least one member of every interview panel has undertaken safer recruitment training to ensure that best practices and all necessary checks are carried out.
