At our church primary school, our French curriculum reflects our Christian vision to Believe, Care and Transform. We believe every child is created by God with the ability to communicate and flourish. Through learning French, pupils develop confidence, resilience and curiosity, growing in self-belief as they explore new language and cultures.

We care about nurturing respectful, compassionate global citizens. By learning about France and other French-speaking communities, children develop empathy, cultural understanding and appreciation of the diversity of God’s world.

We aim to transform pupils’ horizons and aspirations. French strengthens communication skills, memory and problem-solving, while preparing children for further language learning and life in an interconnected world. Through engaging and progressive teaching, we equip pupils with the knowledge, confidence and values to believe in themselves, care for others and positively transform the world around them.
