Churchfield Catering

Since September 2014 Churchfield Church School has been producing our own meals from our in house kitchen. A lot of care and consideration has gone into the preparation of our menus, which we believe offers plenty of choice. Indeed we offer a choice of freshly made hot food, a salad bar or sandwich option.

If you have any concerns about your child's choices or they have any allergies lease do speak with the school and we will do everything we can to reasonably accommodate. We recognise that food and meal times can be challenging for some children and we are here to help support your children to ensure they eat enough to give them energy to learn!

Universal Infant Free School Meals are available to all of Key Stage 1 (Reception through to Year 2), you may also be able to receive Free School meals if you are receipt of qualifying Benefits, more information on this can be found at www.somerset.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals

You will need to order your child’s meals online through our secure ParentPay website at a cost of £2.30 per day. This is payable at the point of ordering, any meals not paid for will not be ordered. You do not have to order meals every day, maybe just once or twice a week.

The online menu selection will close at midnight on the Thursday prior to the following week. Your child will not have a meal provided if not ordered online in advance.

Please be aware all meals ordered will be charged unless cancelled by 9.30am on the morning of absence, please contact the School office to do this.

We are proud of our family dining. Children learn to serve themselves and for younger children staff support them by modelling this. Staff also sit and eat with the children whenever possible. Nursery and EYFS even have their own dining room.
