We had a superb parent afternoon where the children shared their achievements with their families. We sold cakes and drinks to raise money for special treats later in the week. Our class raised £31 which was great! We had a fantastic maths lesson where we added up the money, paid back the amount the drinks and food had cost, and worked out what we would like to spend it on. It was interesting learning all about how to budget our money. We chose to spend it on slime making materials, ice lollies, muffins, a class teddy, crisps and cake making ingredients. We nearly had enough left for a football so Mrs Clements did a sneaky Amazon order and got us one! The teddy and football will go up to the next class. Thanks, parents, for supporting us.
We painted a fantastic group picture where on one side we painted our wonderful world and on the opposite side we painted a sad world full of pollution. We have been thinking how to keep our world as beautiful as it is now.
Round the World Food with Asda
We had such fun when Kelly from Asda came in and shared food with us following our Cultural Week last week. We found out about food from India, Italy, Jamaica and France and tried loads of things from mango to croissants!
We had such a fantastic sport's day. We were blessed with perfect weather and all the children tried so hard with all the events. Some wonderful memories!
We loved our Chinese New Year green time treat
We use our origami skills to make containers to put our egg fried rice in to. We were lucky to have some real Chinese artifacts to look at and draw.
Our 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' Puppets
We have studied shape this week.
Can you guess how we sorted our shapes?
This week's homework and spellings.
We had a great day celebrating Australia day with our resident Aussie, Mrs Dickson. We learned all about where Australia is and about famous landmarks. We had fun finding out about Australian wildlife (did you know a kangaroo can't go backwards?!) and the day ended with a fabulous Australian feast provided by our lovely Mrs Dickson. Great fun had by all.
Our Pictures of Nessie the Loch Ness Monster

Where the Wild Things Are
Lots of our work this half term will follow the adventures of Max from Where the Wild Things Are. We have done some fabulous writing and we are concentrating on presentation and spelling.
We read The Day the Crayons Quit and had great fun drawing our own crayons.
